Our visit to Slovakia in September 2017 was a fantastic week. we stayed in cottages by a lake in the northern region of slovakia. during the week, we visited the beautiful mountains and lakes in the area, learning about the history and the ecology of the country. We had a chance to hold real birds of prey and we met with a special bird expert who catches birds in a net to record information about hem such as size and weight and then put a ring on them before releasing them back into the wild.

We got a chance to try out pottery and during the workshops in school. we made silk scarves from natural materials, bird boxes from wood and flowers out of plastic bottles!
