Priory Woods School & Arts College A Special Place to Learn

World of Work Day

We had the most amazing day during our careers week where we brought the world of work to all of our students.  Our Main Hall was transformed to a community of work stations that gave our pupils the chance to try different professions and careers to see which they loved to do.

The work stations included a local post office, nursery, an office, an amazing canteen, garden centre and our very own supermarket.  We also had our very own street where pupils loved picking up a lollipop sign and helping their friends to cross safely.  They had to make sure they watched out for our very own Priory Woods Bus!  Worryingly, the star station of the day was our very own police station and jail (with real life police uniforms and hats).... I think the pupils loved exerting a bit of authority over our poor staff who all had a bit of time out behind bars!

The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all and gave valuable insights into the roles and careers that are available in the world of work.
