Post 16
In Post 16 we provide real world learning opportunities to prepare young people for a meaningful, happy and safe life beyond school.
Our curriculum is based on the Preparation for Adulthood agenda.

Meet our tutor groups
Brian's Class
Welcome to Brian’s Class. We are a group of 11 Post 16 students. Our Curriculum is based on Maths, English and Personal Social Development. Our main focus is on functional skills in Preparation for Adulthood. We enjoy participating in Creative day, Enterprise and PE. All students have the chance to work in Cafe 16, with support they create a two-course meal and serve customers as part of our community lunches. We also develop our independence when working in the Independent Living Centre (ILC) and through going on outings in the community.

Esther's Class
Welcome to Esther's class. We are a group of 12 hard-working students who study everything from core subjects such as maths, to Enterprise, where students learn how to run a business and fulfil orders. During the week, we like to visit the community, take part in exercise sessions, and gain insightful, external work experience.

Nicola's Class
Welcome to Nicola's class. We are a group of 13 students who work in Priory 16. Our interests include Maths, English, Enterprise, working in the café, and engaging in our creative day. Some of us have participated in external work experience, while others are due to do so this year. We engage in Preparation for Adulthood activities to ensure we are thoroughly equipped for Post 19. Currently, we are focusing on our Functional Maths and English Entry Level qualifications, which we will sit by the end of Y14.

Wendy's Class
Welcome to Wendy’s class. We are a group of 10 Post 16 Students. We love to sing, dance and move! We do Maths, Phonics, P.E. Enterprise and lots of creative lessons. We are learning sign language in Communication and are working on our independence skills of following instructions and making choices, as well as visiting shops and cafes to practice our functional skills.
