As you are aware, we are closed to pupils today as a result of union advice around safety at work. This decision was made in consultation with the Governing Board.
After lengthy conversations over the weekend and this morning and considering that this will be in place for at least two weeks, we need detailed planning to ensure we can open to key worker children and our most vulnerable children.
You will be called by class staff today to ask about key worker status. We will then use this information to start planning. As you will appreciate, this is a mammoth task and we will not be in a position to reopen for identified pupils until Wednesday. This will also support our colleagues in transport to be able to make arrangements.
Remote learning will be put in place as soon as possible once we know who is in school and who is at home.
Given the current situation, we feel that this is the safest option for our pupils and we will continue to do our utmost to support families at home too. We all hope for an improvement soon so that we can be back to how we were before Christmas.
Thank you for your ongoing support at this challenging time.
